Free and open to all, Lucy Cavendish College Research Day is an opportunity for members of the College community to bring their research interests to a wider audience.

The event will take place on the afternoon on Friday 3rd March. We have sought applications from Lucy Cavendish members who wishes to give a 10 minute oral presentation (plus 5 minutes of questions from the audience) on their research. Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract - the 12 shortlisted presenters have now been informed.

Selected applicants will give their presentation in one of three sessions during the afternoon - the best presentations will be awarded voucher prizes kindly provided by AstraZeneca. Refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon and the proceedings will conclude with an invited speaker. Presenters and Chairs will be invited to Formal Hall - audience members are very welcome to sign up via the usual process.

Alongside the oral presentations on 3rd March, the Lucy Cavendish Writing Centre is running a Research Day Blog Competition - find out more by clicking here.

In preparation for Research Day, the Academic Skills programme in early Lent Term will focus on relevant presentation skills. Sessions including Written Science Communication, Graphic Data Representation, Academic Poster Design, Presentation Skills and Pitching Your Research can be booked from the members page by clicking here.

If you'd like to attend Research Day 2023 please put 3rd March in your calendar now. All members of the Lucy Cavendish Community are welcome.
