Maths and Physics programme for Engineering- March 15th and 17th 2021
Lucy Cavendish College and the Department of Engineering are running an exciting two-day online programme for aspiring Engineering students on the evenings of the 15th and 17th March 2021. The programme is designed to strengthen students’ understanding and confidence in Maths and Physics related to Engineering, as well as to give an insight into applying for and studying Engineering at Cambridge and other highly selective universities. We hope students will come away feeling more confident tackling stretching maths and physics problems and excited to study Engineering at University.

Event details
The programme is designed to give participants the opportunity to practice challenging maths with plenty of support and guidance. Maths and Physics exercises will be sent to participants to work on independently in the week before the two evening sessions. Participants will then work through the exercises with the Department of Engineering’s Outreach Officer in our first evening session. Afterwards, students will be sent a related Engineering lecture before coming together in the final evening session to consolidate their knowledge further and ask any further questions they may have. Helpful resources related to applying to Engineering at Cambridge and other highly selective universities will also be made available to participants.
How do I apply?
Bookings for this event have now closed. If you have already applied for a place, we will aim to let you know whether you have been successful or not by the event by 1st March at the latest. If you have any questions about the above then don’t hesitate to contact us on Outreach@lucy.cam.ac.uk
