How do I know in which group I am in?
You will receive an email on the 11-Feb-2025 advising your position in the ballot. If you think that you are in the wrong group, you must notify us before 16:00 on Thursday, on the 13-Feb-2025.
Do you offer group housing bookings?
We are excited to announce that this year we will offer you an opportunity to book with your friends (Blue Group ONLY) as a part of the Ballot 2025. Please contact the JCR for further information and details. Please note that group bookings are only available at Hinsley Lane, and your group will need to ensure that they fill the full house (4/6/7 bed houses) as partial group bookings will not be accepted. Additionally, all house mates need to choose the same tenancy lengths (either 38 weeks or 39 weeks and 2 days tenancy).
On Sunday 23-Feb-2025 we will require one member of each house group to confirm their interest and group details in person between 11:00 to 15:00 at the Receptions Rooms, at Warburton Hall.
Do you offer female only accommodation?
Yes, during Ballot 2025 College will offer housing designated for female students only. If a male student selects a female-only room, their application will be removed from the ballot. They will only be offered rooms that remain available after the ballot process concludes.
The allocated rooms will be highlighted on the ballot webpage but please do reach out if you need further information.
Can I book an on-site room?
On-site rooms will not form the part of the Ballot as these rooms are also being held for the Fresher students arriving in September 2025.
How do I know if my room reservation was successful?
It will show on the ballot website as “reserved”.
I changed my mind. Can I reserve another room?
After reserving a room, you will be able to change your selection until the ballot closes, Monday, 24-Mar-2025 (unless you are a part of a group). Please note that you are only able to reserve one room at the time, so ensure your new selection is available prior to cancelling your current reservation.
When will the room ballot close?
The room ballot will close on Monday 24-Mar-2025 when your selection will be forwarded to the Accommodation Team for processing.
When do I receive my occupancy license?
We will aim to process all ballot room selections by Friday 25-Apr-2025. If you do not receive your occupancy license by this date, please contact us at ballot2025@lucy.cam.ac.uk.
