Lucy alumna Felicia Anderson (Architecture and Urban Design, 2013) has started a series of conversations surrounding architecture and the built environment.

It's essential to ask for advice and help when you're a student, and with the added challenge of Covid-19, Felicia wanted to lend a hand in any way she could. This is why she has begun a series of conversations about the subject she chose to study and pursue a career in, with the aim of bringing people together.

Felicia says:
"It's important now more than ever to share our experiences and knowledge about developing a career within the built environment. Networking opportunities have been altered due to the pandemic and an event like this aims to connect people who might not cross paths in the current situation."

Felicia runs a London-based interdisciplinary team focusing on design and research. Her expertise lies in border studies focusing on the social-economic development of communities in conflict areas. Her professional and academic endeavors are international in focus; she has been involved in a wide range of projects in the U.S, Mexico and the UK.

She is hoping her academic and career experiences can help students make the most out of their studies and future careers. However, these conversations are not limited to current students. Felicia hopes that these events will be attended by a wide-range of people, from alumnae to those who have already built a career in architecture or a similar field. This way, more voices and experiences can be heard, therefore helping more people.

Felicia is hoping that these events will grow in size, be held once every term, and gradually be attended by architecture students from across Cambridge.
