Thanks to your support, funds raised during our previous giving campaigns are making an extraordinary impact.
Through our community’s generosity, Lucy Cavendish is continuing to make an impact to be proud of.
Over £303,000 was raised to help provide students with academic, pastoral and career support so that they can reach their academic, personal and professional potential.
250 students have received awards enabling them to participate in extra-curricular activities, including music lessons, sports clubs, events at the Cambridge Union, and much more!
17 scholarships are empowering students from low-income backgrounds to thrive on interdisciplinary masters courses aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
We have created an enriching outdoor environment surrounding the new Passivhaus building. This is an outdoor manifestation of Lucy’s DNA - the re-landscaped spaces are inclusive and welcoming to all, and promote students’ wellbeing.
Our Careers Programme has provided grants to support students with the costs associated with work shadowing and internship opportunities, helping them to prepare for life beyond graduation.
But we still need your support to ensure that both current and future Lucy students thrive at Cambridge, irrespective of background. Will you support our third campaign for a better, fairer future?
“Lucy welcomed me with open arms. Our College is really special in that it is so welcoming and friendly to everyone. The inclusivity was contagious, and I was so happy to return for my graduation. Lucy is a family and a home-away-from-home.”
Hannah, Physiology, Development and Neuroscience, 2018
“The Marion Blake scholarship has been an incredible support to me and I am once again grateful to Frances for making this opportunity available to me and to future Lucy students.”
Similola Musa, Medical Sciences Tripos, 2022
“The diverse nature of our college community means that our students feel a direct impact from your philanthropic support. As a participant and now facilitator of our excellent Bridging Week programme, I’ve seen just how much our students are able to benefit, starting off their time at Cambridge a step ahead of their peers from other colleges.”
Luke Patterson, Human, Social and Political Sciences Tripos, 2021
