Fran WhitakerFran is a former Paralympic swimmer for Great Britain and a successful businesswoman.

In an international career spanning 10 years, Fran amassed five World Championship titles and 6 medals at Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, training locally in Cambridgeshire where she has lived since childhood.  Fran was able to successfully combine sport and study, achieving a first-class honours degree in Social Policy and a Masters in Disability Studies.  She has received an honorary doctorate from Anglia Ruskin and a Fellowship from Sunderland University.

After hanging up her goggles, Fran has set up several successful online ventures.  These include ‘She Creates colour’, a business designed to help female business owners achieve growth through positive mindset and action centred learning.

Fran is also an accomplished motivational speaker, sharing stories of her accomplishments in sport and life more generally with numerous audiences in a range of settings.
