Join Lucy alumna Beth Carter for this virtual tour of the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art.
Bill Reid (1920-1998) was a renowned Haida artist who lived at a time of great transition for Indigenous artists and communities in Canada. It is time for a fresh look at Bill Reid - as a Haida, a philosopher, an activist, a maker of things, and an influencer. His legacy lives on through the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art, located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Curator Beth Carter will share Bill Reid's creative journey, discuss the work of the gallery, and provide a sneak peek of the contemporary Indigenous art currently on exhibition.
