Nearly 400 students completed our Supracurricular Exploration Project, which involved in-depth research, design, and presentation of academic posters.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the online exhibition showcasing the outstanding Supracurricular Exploration Projects completed by nearly 400 of the Year 12 (S5 – Scotland/Y13 – N.I.) students enrolled in Lucy Cavendish College’s flagship outreach initiative, the Academic Attainment Programme (AAP) 2023-24. These projects, which involved in-depth research, design, and presentation of academic posters, provided students with the opportunity to explore their subject interests in more depth, develop key skills for their current and future studies, and enhance their university applications.
The exhibition features three distinct sections: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Each section highlights the diverse and fascinating topics that our students have chosen to investigate. From groundbreaking scientific discoveries to thought-provoking philosophical inquiries, the projects demonstrate the breadth and depth of their academic interests.
We invite the entire Lucy Cavendish College community, as well as students' families, guardians, teachers, and peers, to explore this online exhibition and celebrate the achievement of our AAP 2023-24 students in completing this academically rigorous Programme alongside their current studies and personal commitments. The posters offer a glimpse into the dedication, creativity, and intellectual curiosity that our students have brought to the Programme.
As our students embark on the next chapter of their academic journey, we are confident that the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained through the AAP, and the Supracurricular Exploration Projects in particular, will serve them well in their A-Level (or equivalent) studies, university applications, and beyond.
