Matilda Battersby wins the 2024 Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize with ‘Forced Perspective’
Matilda was proclaimed winner at tonight’s dedicated award ceremony.
Five exceptional students from various disciplines have been awarded £100 prizes for their outstanding writing.
Building upon the College's rich literary legacy and commitment to nurturing student voices, these prizes form a vital part of Lucy Cavendish College's Writing Centre initiative. The Lucy Cavendish College Writing Centre fosters excellence in both creative and nonfiction writing, providing a dynamic hub for resources, learning, and inspiration. The prizes explore alternative fiction, fiction, environmental and research topics.
