Lucy PhD student wins Young AI Researcher 2022 Award
Agnieszka Słowik was selected from over 300 nominees working on all aspects of Artificial Intelligence.
Carina Mouritsen Luxhøj (MB BChir, Medicine & Surgery) has won the Institute of Anatomy’s Student Dissection Prize
The IAS (Institute of Anatomy) Student Dissection Prize is an annual national competition for students. The prize requires you to produce an anatomical dissection that will be judged by a panel of experienced anatomists. The dissection will be judged against published criteria, technical and intellectual complexity and usefulness as a teaching aid. Carina did this work over five or more weeks during the summer following her first year.
Carina commented on the prize: “I was very happy to win the competition and to be able to produce something that will hopefully aid in the teaching of anatomy for years to come.”
Carina studies Medicine (going into her penultimate year) as an affiliated student with previous degrees in Natural Sciences and Chemistry. She told us she chose to study medicine because during her undergraduate degree she realised that this was where her passion was - especially in the more practical aspects of medicine!
She added: “I think Lucy is a great place to study medicine and that there are many opportunities for those that seek them out!”
