We’ve partnered with The Big Give Christmas Challenge and Giving Tuesday to bring you our very first Giving Day, #LucyGives, for 24 hours starting at 12 noon on Tuesday 3 December. Save the date!
All funds raised will supplement and enhance vital student initiatives including: student hardship funding, the College nurse, counselling services, student bursaries, contributions to the Students' Union, Take a Break well being sessions during exam term and our guinea pigs!
This year, we’ve partnered with The Big Give Christmas Challenge to celebrate the impact of giving at Lucy. #LucyGives will begin at 12 noon on Giving Tuesday – a day of fundraising started in 2012 as a response to profit-driven “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday”. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be revealing the myriad ways you can support Lucy and share your stories. One donation, twice (or even three times) the impact!
Thanks to the generosity of our own Lucy supporters and the Reed Charitable Trust, we have match-funding of £2,770.00 waiting – so your gifts will automatically double in value up to that amount. And, of course, those eligible can further increase their donations through Gift Aid. Excitingly, as all funds raised will support Lucy students, gifts made from first-time donors will be matched pound for pound again, with thanks to the Harding Challenge. So giving just £5 - the cost of a coffee and slice of cake - can generate up to £16.25 (£5 gift + £1.25 Gift Aid + £5 matched funding + £5 Harding Challenge) in funding for Lucy students!
