About us
Lucy Cavendish College’s mission is to attract, support and unlock the potential of students from non-traditional and underrepresented backgrounds who are driven by a desire to make a difference, who are committed to having a positive and lasting impact on society and to addressing the ‘Grand Challenges’ of the 21st century.
Our interdisciplinary academic community is engaged in cutting edge, world-class research. It is this research that informs our teaching, lecturing and supervisions and one of the reasons that this is such an exciting place to learn and work.
The College intends to support the careers of ten additional Postdoctoral Research Associates this year. We therefore invite applications from all University of Cambridge post-doctoral researchers with excellent academic track records who can demonstrate potential leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity and resourcefulness in addressing the challenges of the 21st Century, either within or outside of their academic career to date. We are also looking for individuals who are keen to contribute to the College and so evidence of being involved in, for example, clubs and societies or other community activities would strengthen your application.
