The UKTN have highlighted examples of women succeeding in both academia and tech to help improve people’s health
Sabine is Director of the Bahn Laboratory and Lecturer in Molecular Neurobiology and Clinical Psychiatry and Fellow at Lucy Cavendish College. Sabine has been recognised by UKTN as being one of 2021’s coolest UK female founders making a huge impact in tech.
Professor Sabine Bahn’s focus is on mental health. Her company, Psyomics, has recently closed £1.5 million funding to bring their product Censeo, a mental health assessment tool, to market. When one-in-four people can expect to experience a mental health problem, the tool helps busy GPs accurately assess their patient’s mental health needs to ensure they get referred to the right healthcare.
Sabine says:
"I feel very honoured to be recognised by UKTN and hope that more women will be on the list next year. Of course I have to thank the team at Psyomics for their fantastic work, which allowed us to turn a concept into a product. We are very proud that our mental health assessment platform Censeo is now used by patients in 2 GP practices in London. It is wonderful to see that our work is helping patients and we are delighted by the positive feedback."
