The QIAGEN Undergraduate Studentship will support students in Medicine, Natural Sciences or Veterinary Medicine.

QIAGEN has generously pledged to support a bursary for a Lucy Cavendish undergraduate student studying Medicine, Natural Sciences (bio-focused) or Veterinary Medicine, which will contribute to the recipient’s living expenses this year.

QIAGEN is a global provider of Sample to Insight technologies that enable access to valuable molecular insights from any biological sample. QIAGEN serves more than 500,000 customers in academia (life sciences research), applied testing (mainly forensics), pharma (pharma and biotech companies) and molecular diagnostics (human healthcare).

The relationship between the College and QIAGEN is long-standing. Lucy Cavendish is proud of this connection and welcomes the company’s involvement in widening participation initiatives in support of the College, and we’re delighted that they have chosen to fund a studentship to help our exceptional students achieve their potential by removing some of the financial concerns that can be a barrier to success.

"We are proud to expand our historical relationship with Lucy Cavendish College and to support individuals from underrepresented backgrounds with this new undergraduate studentship. It will facilitate access to higher education for exceptional students across the world.” Cara Jayne Hall, Customer Solution Manager from QIAGEN

Lucy Cavendish College Senior Tutor Jane Greatorex says, “Lucy Cavendish College and QIAGEN first collaborated 14 years ago. As was the case back then, we are extremely grateful for their support of our students in biological and clinical sciences. This bursary will make a significant difference to the deserving recipient.”
