Lucy Cavendish College is accepting applications from potential Visiting Students until the deadline of 1 March 2019

Lucy Cavendish College is accepting applications from potential Visiting Students until the deadline of 1 March 2019.  Visiting Students study at Cambridge for one academic year, from October until June, taking undergraduate courses typically from the first or second year of a Cambridge degree.   Applicants have usually studied for at least two years at their home institution before coming to Cambridge, and must be 21 or over on arrival.

The College admits up to 20 Visiting Students per year, including women applying as part of Study Abroad and Junior Year Abroad programmes, Studienstiftung, DAAD and Erasmus.  Our Visiting Students preferably stay for three terms, but our Admissions Panel will consider applications for two terms with an October or January start if a student’s home university requires it.

Lucy Cavendish is a diverse and inclusive community with students from over 60 countries.  This makes it the perfect College for Visiting Students who receive the same welcome as all Lucy undergraduates, matriculate as members of the University, live in College accommodation, and become a Lucy Cavendish alumnae after departure.

Ellen Verde, a recent Lucy Cavendish Visiting Student, said:

“There are not many colleges offering places for visiting students, so when I discovered Lucy Cavendish College, I knew I had found the right place… All students at Lucy have taken different paths before starting at Cambridge, so you never feel like the odd one out… from day one I always felt welcomed and included, in everything from supervisions to college parties. Being a visiting student at Lucy Cavendish really means you get the full Cambridge experience for a year, and to do this has been one of the best decisions in my life. Studying here at Lucy feels like being welcomed with open arms.”
