Investing in future leaders with the motivation to tackle global issues in national and international contexts.

Interdisciplinary Master’s Scholarships support those studying on one of the 30 interdisciplinary courses aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. By supporting this cause, you will be investing in future leaders of exceptional talent and the drive to solve some of the major issues facing humankind and our planet.

The College community’s generosity during LucyGives 2020 provided nine students with the opportunity to study at Cambridge on an interdisciplinary Master’s course. This is making a tremendous difference in our efforts to be the ‘go-to’ interdisciplinary Cambridge college for people with the motivation to tackle global issues in national and international contexts.

The cost of a Cambridge education continues to be prohibitive for too many prospective Lucy Master’s students. The need for financial support is greater than ever, and it is essential that we provide more scholarships for the Master’s classes of 2022 and 2023.

Scholarships alleviate the financial pressures of tuition fees as well as accommodation and living costs, helping to ensure that the world’s brightest minds can:

  • take up their offers to study at Lucy Cavendish, benefitting from being part of a world-class research community and a unique and supportive College environment.

  • excel at Cambridge - an academically-stimulating environment.

  • progress into their chosen careers, going on to leadership positions where they can help to solve some of the world’s “grand challenges” as set out in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

What is LucyGives?

LucyGives Giving Week (25 April – 1 May 2022) is a 7-day campaign for a better, fairer future. Driven by the College community’s support in LucyGives 2020, Lucy Cavendish is forging ahead with its pioneering vision, welcoming the most socio-economically diverse year group admitted by any Cambridge college this academic year. But this is just the start.

Your support during LucyGives 2022 will help realise our ambitions to achieve a UK student population which is broadly representative of society by 2025, and to increase numbers of talented students from under-served communities across the globe. LucyGives will support the brightest minds from all backgrounds, enabling them to access a world-class university education and to graduate with the skills and confidence to make a positive impact in society. Through LucyGives, we will together ensure our College and its global mission remain at the vanguard of change at the University of Cambridge.
